Which DS games are worth buying?

I've had the DS a while, one of the older ones. I've got Mario Kart (which is an awesome game), Advance Wars DS (killer game), WarioWare Touched (first game I had and still have it, really fun), FF III (sucked, disappointed) gonna trade that, Mario and Luigi Partners in Time (liked the first one, disappointed here). I don't play it much anymore and I was sort of wandering what game would make me pick that bad boy back up for a little while. Don't play games a whole lot, but whenever I'm on a trip or just hanging around with nothing to do, I've got the DS. Which games are worth it? I like Nintendo developed games by the way. They've always known what they're doing. And I've had Super Mario 64, New SMB, traded them. I like games with replay value and whatnot. I want to get a PS3 so i decided that I would trade in my old games to EB games or gamestop so can get some credit to buy the PS3. I know its not gonna buy the whole thing but it will help. the games are:

Don't sell them to GameStop or EB Games. They will give you about $3 for each of those save for Soulcaliber Legends, Red Steel 2, The Legend of Zelda Phantom Hourglass, and Mario Luigi Bowsers Inside Story.

After obtaining 14 stars, stand on the Sun carpet in the main plaza. Enter first person view mood and look up to the beam of light. In the new world, stomp on the red switch in the middle tower to unlock the red ! boxes.







After unlocking the red ! boxes, go to the castle courtyard. Punch the giant boo with the cage inside of him to enter Big Boo's Haunt. Obtain the first star by defeating all the Boos to get the staircase. In the second goal, as Mario, go up the stars and into the room with the single bookshelf. Use the fire flower to float up to the room above, where you'll find a Luigi painting. Jump through the painting and defeat Big Boo to get Luigi's key.



After obtaining 30 stars and defeating Bowser for a 2nd time, head up to the second castle floor and enter the room where Snowman's land. On the left you'll see a Luigi painting, but its reflection in the mirror will be a Wario painting. Get the flower to turn invisible and walk through the mirror to appear on the opposite side. Jump into the Wario painting to enter the level. Defeat Chief Chilly to obtain the key for Wario's Room.

FOR NINTENDO 64!



I was wondering, why does Luigi have an uneffective move in his moveset, which is the ^+B move that shoots a coin in the air while hitting his opponent? This move is known to do 1% damage, and sometimes gets in the way of Luigi's power uppercut which is performed by pushing up and THEN B.



I think that this pathetic coin move Luigi has is a glitch. I think perhaps they accidently took Mario's coin move (which is much more effective) and put it on Luigi.



I don't know the process of making video games, maybe they used a clone of Mario to create Luigi (since they are very similar) and forgot to take Mario's coin move off from Luigi. But like I said, Mario's coin move does much more than 1%.Smash Bros Luigi mystery?
It's not a recognized move, so it must be only a simple easter egg. If you recall on the SNES, Luigi had such a "move" in which he threw a coin into the air.

Some games (Chronotrigger being the most famous) have natural anti-piracy filters on it. Of course, if you already own the Mario %26amp; Luigi Partners in Time game, it's legal to have a backup of it - but make sure you buy the real game first!



Some R4 clones, like the R4 Ultra, don't have updates as often as the genuine cards. Therefore, you will need to download the latest firmware from the R4 Ultra website, and then perhaps check on GBATemp.net for a temporary fix to see if it will help for the game concerned.



If you're looking for a reliable place to buy real DS cards, I'd recommend www.NDS-Gear.co.uk - mainly because they ship by next day worldwide, but also because they test every single card before sending so you don't get a card that doesn't work. I beleive you need YSmenu, google it



The patches are in the IPS format. To patch the game, simply use IPSWin or an alternative for your operating system and select a clean, unmodified version of Mario and Lugi RPG 3.

Okay, first you need some POW points. When you upgrade you have a wide range to select from. HP increases how many Heart Points you have. BP increases Brother Points. POW increases how much damage you can inflict on an enemy. DEF increases your defense so you don't take as much damage. Speed increases how fast you run away from battles and Stash makes your mustache nicer so you get better deals at stores.

I don't think they will buy the Gameboy Advance any longer. About a year ago they said they would no longer buy the gameboy advance games.

If you want a game with adventure and alot of text,you should try Etrian Odyssey.It's a great game where you create 5 different people that you want to go explore a labyrinth.There are many classes or types like Dark Hunters-they use whips to attack there foes and sometimes bind there enemy's feet,head,or arms.There are also Survivalists-these people use bows to attack there enemy's.Other classes include Medic,Hexers,and many others it's an awesome game and you have to write out your own maps on the touch screen.The maps have to be put out in the same way that you are experiencing what is happening on that floor.So the bottom line is that you have to make it accurate or you might die or not get the things right.

On the compact disc-interactive console by Philips, is the obscure quality puzzle-action game where Mario must take the elevator between the several floors of a hotel to shut every door to clear the level. Like in Wrecking Crew, the path Mario takes is critical so that he does not walk into enemies. Some enemies open doors on each floor and will end the game if every door in the stage is opened. Each hotel ends in a boss battle with one of the Koopas from Super Mario Bros. 3 until Bowser at the end.

One of the early, pre-Super Mario Bros. Famicom games, Wrecking Crew combined action with puzzle. As Mario, players have to chip away all of the stone walls on each tower, avoiding enemies and being sure not to get trapped. you can play it with an emulator. and a rom file. If you have a xbox360 corded controller or a gamepad for the pc you can connect it to the usb drive and use it as a controller. These are quite simple to use. once you get the hang of using it. You can also get emulators of different systems like N64 and play awesome games. ITS all FREE

Harvest Moon- That games is evil, when I say it's evil, I meant that it's too overly addictive it can waste every of your free time for the whole year. Don't prejudge it because the games about farming. So I recommend Harvest Moon if you want long playability but be warned.



My sims or any other sims game is a bit like Harvest Moon but not as addictive as harvest moon in my opinion. But if you enjoy it to it's fullest extent, you might get more out of it than Harvest Moon.



Mario and Luigi 2- It's not too bad but after you complete it, you probably want to return it. But if you like RPGs then you should it enjoy while it lasts.



Sonic is another classic game for the DS, it doesn't matter which one you buy because they are pretty much th same. But the problem is that you can rush through it in a day.

Some games won't work or my R4?

Some games won't work on my R4. For example, Kirby super star ultra, The legand of zelda: Spirit tracks, Crono trigger, pokemon platinum, and Mario and Luigi:Bowers inside story all say "cannot find sav file. Do video games increase children's imagination?

I know many psychologists say that it does because it restricts a child to a certain world instead of letting them invent their own kind of play, but to me video games are just like movies or books, things children will reenact themselves in real life (i.e. I'll pretend I'm mario, you be luigi!) You are kind of right.



If you were to raise a child in a room with one window, and that room would be sealed away from humanity, that child would grow up with his own perception of the world. he would think that a "God" or some being makes the Sun rise, and the moon glow, etc. That child would have his own ideals of the world. His imagination would make him picture the outside world.



Now if you were to expose that same child to video games, that child's imagination would be built around those games, and he would expand on that.



This is more of a philosophical approach, though.

Differences when playing as Luigi in Super Mario Galaxy?

I recently rented Super Mario Galaxy for the Wii and collected all 120 stars. I started to play a little as Luigi and I already noticed some differences, like he jumps higher and controllers a little loose and slides around. Well I had to return the game, but I am curious about some things.



Normally when you go to the Ghostly Galaxy, you rescue Luigi. If you are playing as Luigi do you rescue Mario instead?



And normally after you rescue Luigi as Mario, Luigi finds some hidden stars for you. If you play as Luigi, is Mario the one who finds you the stars?



Basically, do the roles pretty much switch for every situation?Differences when playing as Luigi in Super Mario Galaxy?
Nope. I think Nintendo intended it to be a little humorous because when you play Luigi and go to rescue the Luigi in Ghostly Galaxy and at other areas, he refers to that Luigi as "Me". "Hey me!"

Then there's also a difference between the two Luigis. The Luigi that you're playing is SLIGHTLY shorter than the other when you stand them side by side. The Luigi you play is also less detailed. He's lighter in color (green) and his overalls look more unreal. They look too smooth. Some people say that Luigi is a clone.

if you like zelda you should try the new twilight princess. that game is so awesome. i just got a gamecube a few months ago, for practically the same reasons why you want one. i got it used for $60, but i also got a year's worth of free game or movie rentals. you should try looking to see if there are any deals at movie rental stores like Blockbuster or Hollywood video. good luck

Sonic adventure dx is voted one of the best gamecube games. SA2B is also highly rated so get them. I have sa2b and it is so fun. You have to try it. There is story mode, two sides, hero and dark, and final story which is hard fun and addicting.

Sonic Adventure 2 Battle is Awesome! I never thought I'd be playing Sonic on a Nintendo console but he seems right at home on the fantastic Gamecube! I haven't played the Dreamcast version so I can't compare the two but the graphics for this version are amazing! there is so much detail and it's soooooo fast! When you start your main game you have the choice of playing the hero side with Sonic and friends or the dark side with Shadow and co. this makes the main game even more interesting.

I'm not quite sure the order, but here is the closest I can get to guessing:



1: Snake- I've always been good with characters from games I like, and besides SSBB, MGS is my favorite game. I also know a LOT of tricks with him.



2: Ganondorf- I have gotten extremely good with his timing and aerial combos due to the hours I've spent with him on HRCs.



3: Fox- Fast and with decent strength, Fox is a favorite of many players. He has a pretty good moveset too.



4: Probably Captain Falcon- My practice with Ganon helps a lot, because they basically have the same moves, except CF is faster/weaker.



5: Pit- This last one was hard to decide. It might just be because I like him so much, I'm not sure.



I'm pretty good with King Dedede, too. He would be on my top 5 list if he had an easier-to-control recovery move. I'm always winning by far when I play with him, when suddenly I lose about 5 lives from jumping off the edge using his recovery move.
1. Wolf - he doesn't move or attack like anyone else making him difficult to read and his heavy hits can send most people flying.



2. Ike(think that's how you spell his name) - for his power, combined with how quick he is, he can be lethal even in the hands of a beginner.



3. Fox - just for how fast he can deal out damage



4. DK - the same as Ike. If he was quicker and had better air attacks he would be higher.



5. Mr game and watch - the strangest character I've ever seen, but if he's used correctly he can be a real sod to beat.

The only way to play with two or more players is if you play against someone who is within 30 feet of you (more or less). You can't use Wifi in that specific game. The other player doesn't even need the game, they just need a DS (any version) to play against you. I recently got through the Flab Zone, and realized I forgot one of those (pardon me, I can't remember what he're actually called) skill puzzle pieces (ya know the ones... Collect 10 and learn a new skill?) When I went back to the Flab Zone, the layout was different and I couldn't get back up there... The other answer is incorrect. You will indeed be able to re-enter the flab zone and get the other skill points. It happens later on when Bowser can do his jump move. He will go to his castle and eventually make it back to the room with the junk food. Why do some of the r4 games not work?

So some games like Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story, The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks, Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days and more don't work like other games do for my r4. For instance, M%26amp;L freezes up when you select a file. Zelda freezes when "Nintendo" comes up. Hearts gets a black screen after starting the game. Is there a way to fix this or is there a source where I can download fixed ones? I've tried multiple sites like hkortz and romulation but they all end up the same.Why do some of the r4 games not work?
It's not the game it's your firmware. I'm assuming your using the official latest firmware..1.18 or something. Well it's pretty damn bad and hasn't been updated for a fair few years now, so is obviously out dated.

This is a great firmware and is updated regularly.



If your not sure how to replace it then open up your R4 on your PC and delete everything that's not a game, that'll be your old firmware. BACK IT UP IN CASE SOMETHING GOES WRONG! Copy it to your desktop or something before you delete it.



Now, With the woods firmware you'll have the _rpg and the _ds menu.dat files. Copy these to your R4 card. This'll be your new firmware. Put your card back into the R4 and boot up your DS. You'll see the loading screen will have changed slightly, all you have to do is click on the game you want and it should work fine.

Note there might be games in between these 2 files. They also CAN NOT BE INSIDE OTHER FOLDERS, JUST THE _RPG folder and the _DS menu.dat file should be there themselves, not in a folder together or in any other folders it won't work if you do so.Why do some of the r4 games not work?
I used to have the same problem on those exact games on my R4, get the ysmenu on your R4 and they should work just fine.
