I am tryin to play Gamegume games on my Wii. I bought the classic controller but the games are stil not workin

The dude at Gamestop told me that it would work with a Wii classic controller.. i have it plugged into my Wii remote.. but whrn the game comes up (first i tried SIms bustin out then Luigi's Mansion) it says to hit start and ehrn i do nuttin happens.. i';m really frustrated b/c i only bought the gamecube games b/c i was told u can play them o Wii and there r not that many great games otu for Wii.. The dude at Gamestop was either lying to you in order to sell you something you don't need or was an idiot. The Wii emulates the Gamecube through hardware, not software. There is a Gamecube chipset inside the Wii which allows it to play GC games. Because of this, you MUST have a Gamecube controller to play any Gamecube games. The Wii remote and any attachments are completely disabled when the system is in "Gamecube Mode".



The Classic Controller is the most useless accessory for the Wii. You don't need it for anything. Even the Virtual Console games can be controlled using the Gamecube controller. Take the Classic controller back to Gamestop and buy a Wavebird if they have one, or a regular Gamecube controller if they don't.

Yeah a Gamecube controller is the key here

But as the Gamecube controller's cords are quite short i recommend a Wavebird Gamecube controller, they sell quite cheap these days and have no cord to worry about since its a radio signal connecting the controller to the receiver (which plugs into a Gamecube controller slot)

sorry, but the guy at the gamestop was lying! the only way can play gamecube games is witha gamecube controller that plugs into the top part of the Wii.
