Why is luigi so ignored by Nintendo?

Luigi has always been the cool sidekick



if they started making a bunch of games with him as the main character then he wouldnt be as cool any more if you ask me its a pretty smart idea



but i can understand why people want him to be in more things becasue he is so cool



but what they dont understand is that it would ruin the character of luigi

Mario is the main character i guess and Luigis the main character's brother. Their aren't any games centered around Peach, the main characters girlfriend.

Luigi is the poor ignored sidekick, and NIntendo knows it. I played a Mario rpg before, I don't remember which one, and all the characters were like, "Oh, it's Mario! ...And the green dude who hangs around him a lot." xD



Luigi did get the Haunted Mansion, at least.



Mario is NIntendo's mascot, so he gets the most attention :)
its because mario is fat, and fat kids get depressed if they have no friends.



so luigi is a more average wait, therefor everyone is always busy paying attention to his fat brother to make mario feel better.

but they dont realize that they could be hurting luigi's fault :(

exactly. luigi is much better. i always play as him instead. i think nintendo just made mario first, and luigi second, but if you want REALLY lame unnoticed characters, there's waluigi and wario, who are both crappy crackheads.
Mario is king - Luigi is his sidekick.



When given the choice in most Nintendo games, Mario has more capabilities than Luigi.



Personally, I find his voice more annoying. He did, however, get star billing in their movie - LOL
Mario is the face of Nintendo, Luigi is just there to be a sidekick and as a sidekick I guess they thought, why not make Luigi his brother. Even though Mario is the main star.
Mario is Nintendo's mascot, and Luigi is, well, how do I say, not Near as cool. And I don't think that the General Public would like a game solely based on Luigi.
I suppose Nintendo thinks Luigi is like a side character in a way because he's not Mario. Mario has been in games since the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1980-something.
mario is awesome. luigi is a loser.
I love Luigi, i think nintendo have made mario out to be a bit big headed. with all his 'mario galaxy' etc.
