What were these PC games called from the 90's?

One was a Carmen Sandiego game for PC, can't find the name.



The other one was a Mario and Luigi game, I think you played as Luigi? Maybe not. But you had to travel to distant lands, read something about those lands and answer questions right to move to the next level.

i think the mario one was called super mario: Time Machine
